The Avalanche Rescue Challenge from 2015
Each year the RCX Program designs a new challenge for the students to work on. The Annual Challenge provides the opportunity for students to "Design, Construct & Program" their robot to accomplish Missions on the Board, or playing field.
Teams need to strategize, like playing Chess. Mission Objects are positioned across the Board. Mission Objects are assigned point values based on difficulty of programming and robot design. Teams must program their robot to activate, manipulate, raise/lower, push/pull Mission Objects across the Board. In a timed event, teams go head-to-head with other teams.
